Give Your Rubio Monocoat Oiled Surfaces Some Extra Protection

As you may be aware the technological characteristics of Rubio are different from other Oil products. It is the first and still only oil that contains 0% VOC, suitable for all types of wood, with a durable protection. To keep this durable protection in top condition, there are some high-quality maintenance products that that help in preventing any minor damages through wear and tear. However, if you do need to repair isolated scratches or damaged areas Rubio has it covered. 

Let’s start by looking at basic maintenance, keeping your surfaces clean. The RMC Soap is a maintenance soap intended for the regular cleaning of oil finished, wooden surfaces. The soap thoroughly removes any dirt and grease while maintaining the matte, natural look of the wood. RMC Soap is very concentrated and hence very economical. However, please note that you should not clean any more than once a week. Cleaning too often or with too much RMC Soap or RMC Surface Care may leave a thin layer on the surface, which dirt and dust may adhere to. Do not leave any water on the surface, a damp-clean is sufficient. Do not walk on the floor until it is completely dry. The best working method is with two buckets: one with the soap mixture and one with clean water to rinse the dirt out of the mop. There is also a smaller spray surface care that you can use for quick convivence. 

Whilst it’s important to keep surfaces clean, maintaining your oiled surfaces are integral to keeping the quality at its best. If your surfaces start to need that extra TLC, the RMC Universal maintenance oil will give your surfaces a refresh and upgrade where varnished surfaces are starting to form micro-cracks. The great news is you can also apply this product on other oiled surfaces not just those of RMC. This provides extra protection to increase the surface's fluid-resistance, making the oil extremely suitable for 'high traffic' zones which require extra protection with a lovely shine finish. Please note that maintenance with the RMC Oil Plus 2C in its original colour should be done when the treated surface starts to show too much wear and tear or if the colour needs to be repaired. For those more specific problems such a lime stains, grease or acid/water you can purchase sprays that target these problems.
